This past week I have been having frequent cases of sleep paralysis.

For those who do not know, sleep paralysis is when the brain awakens from REM sleep but the body remains “asleep” (in paralysis).  Sort of the reverse of sleep walking, which is when the body is ‘awake’ but the brain is asleep.

In short, you are fully conscious but unable to move. This can last a few seconds or a few minutes. However, eye movements are still possible. Individuals experiencing this often feel extreme panic as they try to reestablish the connection between mind and body.

 This is something that I have experienced in the past and is common in my family but it has been happening more frequently lately. Sleep paralysis is also known to be accompanied by “terrifying hallucinations”.  The individual may see vivid objects or entitys within his or her field of vision. This is where we get the term nightmare. The first time it happened this week I saw a black cat scratching at my face. The second time I saw a black faceless figure covering my mouth.

 The exact cause of this seems to be difficult for science to explain. Some possible causes are irregular sleep patterns, stress or sudden environment changes.

 Religious persons tend to believe this is caused by evil spirits. This is how the legends of Incubi and Succubi started. They are demons that visit their victims during the night, rendering them helpless, usually for sexual purposes. Unfortunately that did not happen to me. They are usually depicted as sitting on the chests of their victims, most likely because individuals experiencing sleep paralysis often report a weight on top of their body. This is not something I have been aware of yet.

 Studies suggest that people experience sleep paralysis at least once or twice in their lives. Has this ever happened to you?  What is your stance, scientific phenomena or evil spirit? I’m sure you know my opinion but tell me yours in the comments below.

I thought I would share with you something called the Thatcher Illusion. It is a strange phenomenon and can be quite disturbing. The Thatcher Illusion is where it is difficult to see feature changes in an upside down face, but becomes very obvious (and disturbing) in an upright face. It can sound confusing but becomes apparent when you look at this picture of Margaret Thatcher (after which the illusion is named).

In this set of upside down pictures, they appear to be almost identical at first glance.

Here is the same image but right side up. The differences now become extremely apparent.

This illusion demonstrates that our brains process upside down and right side up faces very differently. This might seem trivial but I think understanding the mind is very important, especially if one wishes to achieve self mastery. Either way I find the results interesting and eerie. Most people are surprised by the drastic differences when the picture is viewed right side up, did the illusion work for you?

I knew this was something I was going to have to address as soon as I begun work on the Intern Project.

Dictionary.com defines conformity as “to be or become similar in form, nature, or character.”  We live in a society that praises those who are the same and condemns those who are different. Conforming, becoming another clone in this diseased world, is the what we hate the most.

However, I see a lot of people who try be different, just for the sake of being different. If you like a certain thing, let’s say a popular song, but you deny that you like it simply for the sake of being “different” you are not being true to yourself. There is nothing wrong with liking something that is popular as long as you actually enjoy it and not just because society tells you are SUPPOSED TO LIKE IT. There is a big difference that a lot of people miss.

I have had a few people tell me that they would like to join The Intern Project but they do not want to conform. In basic terms they are saying that believing in “nonconformity” is conforming, this is bullshit, and they do not understand what they are saying. Let me tell you The Project forces nothing on you. We are a group of unique individuals, with one thing uniting us. That is, the acknowledgment that society breeds mediocrity and we will not be oppressed by it.

In the future I will be sharing my own philosophies, but by no means do you have to listen to them, I simply offer them as a model that works for me, it is up to you to decide if it will work for you.

This is very important if you are a fan on any social networking site.. If you don’t feel like reading through this entire article the main point is this:

It is possible that my Social Networking sites will get deleted, if that happens I will have no way to keep in touch with you. If you are a fan on any of these sites then please subscribe to my blog, by entering your email address, so I can keep you updated on New Stunts, Possible Tour Dates, The Intern Project etc. if my Social networking page should be lost.

For those more interested as to why, I would like to take a minute to talk about Social Networking. Obviously it is extremely popular, it is not only popular but it is becoming essential. It is almost impossible not to have one if you have a large contact list. SO! What is the problem? Well let’s take a look at this broken down:

1. Almost everyone uses one
2. They are essential for bands/artists ect to share their work

But here is the problem, these Networks are all run by companies, meaning, they make the rules. There is NO FREEDOM OF SPEECH on these sites. If they don’t like what you have to say, they’ll pull the plug on you. Now it may not impact you if you don’t have that many friends on these networks. But if you do, and the networks starts to notice you, that is when the problem arises.

This is leading to mediocre art, because in theory, only those artists who are already established and have a HUGE following will be kept around, so that the networks do not look bad. But if another artist is starting to rise, and has any message that would be considered offensive, it is very possible the network will remove them. Read the Terms of Service of any of these networks and it is written in black and white.

So that is why I created TerrorsOfMen.com. A place where I can make my own rules.

My friends, this is very important so I can continue my Stunt work, and The Intern Project, without having to “tame it down”. Because there is nothing tame about a Terror. Please enter your email address in the box provided, and I will see you on the other side.

The Intern Project is an organization for those who are dissatisfied with the mediocrity humanity creates.

There are a lot of bands, groups etc. who ask you to help them out and do not give anything back. Every one of my fans are amazing and I know you would do it for free as well, but I want to give you something. Which is why I am offering this membership package.

All you have to do is help spread our mission in two easy steps. The reasons for this are twofold.

1. The faster this spreads the sooner I can tour and meet all of you

Next time you are at a club/concert/party hand some out or put them in the venue.
Bulletin Boards in Coffee houses, Colleges, Book Stores, Hot Topics etc.
Anywhere and everywhere!

Give one to a Christian when they hand you some Jesus literature. It won’t do any good but it will piss them off.

If you don’t have a printer, put the file on a usb/cd/mp3 player and kinkos will do it for pennys.
