Oh , this anxiety that comes
When you’re here around me,
You take me out of my comfort zone,
Yet I know I may find
Something if I only look deep inside
Within.
As I fall deeper,
Into this sweet surrender,
Like the words you say to me:
“She loves him ,
and he knows it,
and he uses that love
just long enough to get what he wants,
to then run away yet again”
I can barely believe
And this lack of faith in mundane things
Is my own burden or gift to carry,
Please don’t cry for me today,
there is no need in tears
for they are in Vain,
Just be patient,
And wait for me
the time will come soon,
sooner than you may think.
I find the need to hold these emotions back,
for there is too much to show,
too much to hide away from the world’s prying eyes.
We need the time to grow,
More fully,
More completely
and to truly know.
When you go
and another steps inside
this crystal world
frozen in time,
Shadows and shade visit,
And night time too,
comes home again,
As the sun begins to fade,
You say to me that this love
will never end
but I ask
Where does time even begin?
Madness, Obscurity,
Oblivion-
All that has been given,
Unto me
I cannot share this “Gift ”
with you,
I choose not to share
this ” Knowing”
In hope, to Safe guard you from
all that I see,
Unknown Yet Known
You’re not the only one,
that feels the way you do.
I ask for this “Empathy”
to be taken from me,
Yet, it still remains.

A very beautiful and emotionally powerful poem. The imagery of love is revealed within such deep philosophical context and it helps to understand once again what true love truly means.
Thank you so much for that critique, Arthur.
