Really nice. You managed to capture the look of anguish in her eyes as well. It’s always in the eyes. A smile does not denote happiness…you can always tell if a person is happy though if their eyes are shining. Monkeys show their teeth and smile when they are fearful and it denotes aggression, so it’s interesting how humans have culturally changed that to mean something else.
Very beautiful and haunting. You have talent and are excellent with the brush. I like this one a lot, it reminds me how i used to feel a while ago, just wearing a smile when in reality i wanted to cut my wrists. thank you for sharing.
