i would like to say you are right people do shove their gods down people throats but i may also add not everyone and thats all i wanted to say is that all christians do not do that
Christians and Catholics have always said that they are tolerant of others, if they confrom and believe in the same things they do, which is total and complete bullshit. Just because some one has a different religion than you, doesn’t mean you get to critize them for it and tell them they’re going to hell or not. When I was growing up, my family was very (and still is) religious and if you didn’t agreed, you might as well be signing you death wish. I would get yelled at for playing “non-christian” music and wearing band T’s (especailly when it was Marilyn Manson, Godsmack, and or Black Sabbath),nothing bad really happened until I finally told them I didn’t believe in God and got sent to my aunt who was a nun to try and make me believe…it didn’t work. They just believe that everyone should be like them, when in reality no one is just like them, not one person is like anyone else. Becuase if there was then there would be no sense of uniquness towards oneself.

If the “Christians” really believed in the power of their god then why did they need your permission to pray for you? If their god is so powerful why not just got home and pray? Ill tell you why. This had nothing to do with your damned
soul. Lol. It was another example of most christians “join us or burn in hell” way of life. READ YOUR OWN DAMN BIBLE. If you are going to take it for truth then look at who your jesus spent time with. murders, rapists, thieves, and whores. Do you think he asked them if he could pray for them? No! He would sit QUIETLY and ALONE. Take a hint form your own “Good Book” and shut the hell up.
Luckily, even though she was raised Mennonite, my mother was a VERY open-minded individual by raising both my younger sister and myself to follow our own Religious Paths.

i live in the babtist belt (oklahoma) and there are bery many churches around anyway most try to make all the hollidays christmas easter halloween ect seem negative and devilish (no offense to who ever would get offended by that) unless you do as they would and they try to make themselves be presented as the correct way to hold festivals and the worst part is they dont understand the true meanings of where these holidays come from they just start talking and saying untrue irrelevant and negative things about things they dont know about and only think they know of

This is the video that intrigued me about Terrors of Men a year or so ago. I am a Luciferian and proud to say that, I have no qualms over it, and I have no regrets. I get some flack from other people who are not like minded but honestly, it doesn’t bother me half as much as it did when I was younger. I don’t kick people on their belief systems, until they kick me about mine, and then I’ll do whatever it takes to destroy the bigot.
I recently started practicing magick and became Wiccan, but my mom was giving me a hard time because of it (because she’s Mormon). I don’t give her a hard time because of her beliefs, why would she give me a hard time of my choices and beliefs? I believe that people should choose a religion that makes them happy, not what others want them to be.
I personally believe that religion is responsible for a lot of the terrible things in the world, and do not believe in the religion that my family is forcing on me because the very nature of who I am can not exist with the doctrine as is read by the Church of their religion.
However, I do believe in choice and am fine with people believing that religion is their salvation. I also believe in a higher power, but to go as far to call it God or even name it as a male power I would not do. People need to learn to stop forcing their ideas on other people.
Religion has done some good in this world, that I can not deny. Then again, the Nazi’s advanced medical theory and practices by years, and yet we condemn them for what they have done. Hitler did cause the deaths of millions of non-Aryan people, but the Church has been doing the same thing for centuries and nobody is condemning it for what it has done.

One day in the middle of the Royal Wedding I ran into this short, stout man with wild black hair. He tugged on the hem of my strapless dress, almost pulling it off! So I said “Um hi. What do you want??” he told me to bend down so he could whisper in my ear, so I did and he whispered: “God will find you. He will save you. He is your CREATOR!” he said the last word a little louder. I pushed him away and told him of how I abandoned Christ long ago and how the bible is vague and completely false, so he ran away screaming “Murderer! Satan-loving woman! You will burn in hell!!!” then everyone turned around to face me. I told him the man was crazy and they chuckled and looked back towards the wedding
Finally, I was able to find a way to watch this video by doing a search on yahoo. Interesting story Morgue. The moment you said that the Christian wanted to pray for you I was like Oh Geez!!! I knew exactly where this was heading. Cuz, I’ve watched you in your videos and read your posts. I’ve gotten to know what type of person you are like. So I knew exactly where this was going. I knew that they most certainly wouldn’t be digging what you were putting down.
Catholicism is the oldest form of Christianity, and when a big enough group of people got sick of it, they broke off into a sect called Protestants. Cool no? every religion has flaws
Just now I that of something. You know in a way the Catholic church is worshiping the devil. Even, if they don’t realize it or think they don’t. The reason why I belief this is because they don’t except people like us into their church. But, I know that God and Jesus would except us all. No matter our differences. Because they love unconditionally.
Ok, well I guess I’m a Satanist because I don’t percieve myself as being a Christian because I believe in other things from other faiths. But, then oh wait Catholic church I still believe in God and in Jesus Christ. I could never totally stop believing in them. After all, I’m here because of them. If it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be here. So, I could never give up on them. Because I’m a miracle baby after all.
Remember Satanism is not devil worship, but a word taken in the beginning of the Catholic church to encompass all non-Christians. Including Atheists, Agnostics, and those who believed Science over God
I have had them (brainwashed ideology of having to die to get to a heaven) come to my door with a Watch Tower or a name badge, called Elder so and so. I tell them, “Sorry I have a religion” then close the door. There is indeed no need to talk to those that have already no room for open minds or respectful of other’s opinions.

The video didn’t play for me. Tried going to youtube to play it but it didn’t work there either. But, here’s my guess on what the video was about. My guess is that somebody tried to force a certain kind of religion on Morgue. And that I do believe is wrong. I just figured out today that I’m not a Christian. I can’t be a Christian because I have different beliefs mixed in with Christian beliefs so I’m not a Christian. I don’t think there’s a name for my religion I don’t even know if the type of religion I believe even exists??? I guess it’s more so of a type of new age religion with no name. But, that’s how far I can go with that. Cuz, I don’t know if there is a religion yet like mine.

Christians are very strange. I remember back in long beach, cali. in 1999, I was confronted by a group of christians, and yeah they seem like nice people, and they told me they want me to meet their bishop of their chruch. He came up to me, and he spoke to me of his gospel, and i told him that i learned what i do know cause i was raised catholic, later became a born again christian, later bible studied with the jehova witnesses, and later became a born again. He literally made a scene at me in front of a lot of people. He was angry. I even said to him, your angry aren’t you. And he said to me, yeah i’m angry. He also said i was gonna burn. LOL.
I’ve been forced to live with some pretty hardcore Christians (hypocrites all of them) and I have an idea of why they act the way they do.
From day one, one of the core edicts of their beliefs, and they main one they fall back on, is thou shalt have no god before me. Pretty much, it’s my way or the highway (to hell in this case). They are raised, or converted to believe that above all else. That said, in their eyes, theirs is the only valid faith, and belief system, and if that is true, then all other beliefs are false, rendering them not beliefs at all, but rather idea’s about the afterlife and how the world was made, aside from all science.
This is the only explanation I can glean from having been forced to live for several years with people who believed without a doubt in their minds that their version of the bible was the only correct one, and that anything else led straight to hell. I believe the version in question was the new testament.

Why pray, rather christian rabtist baptist sadist really in my opinion mourge Truth has no Name name was and is defined by man. Pray is the same in sense as meditation we were created. There is very much evidence, if you need me to bring anything to you I will be glad to. Why pray well faith you have faith if you did not have faith how then would you have the will to overcome the many fears that many face daily and then want to share this. You know I am that label I suppose I do not like the label because I have found that many who say they believe in God, the very opposite they become their own god and then gain nothing but ignorance which then weakens the mind would you not agree. Think about how many beliefs that have truth to them there are many ways. Religion is really more of a domination to fit ones status. For me I take the Name Christian because not only does it mean to be like Christ it means to stand up. Also an authentic Christian will listen and will not badger or force belief upon anyone man. It is hard being me because I find many that say they are a Christian being more of an anti in a sense. Myself mate I get along much more with those who look at truth value most of my friends believe in something yet I cannot brick them for what they believe. Why pray for you man you dont have to be in a group that organizes self which then destroys truth by institutionalizing self… Why pray for another one never has to ask someone to pray one can pray in the mind in regards for you I would pray that in stunts the truth you believe in be with you so you dont catch yourself on fire man. See what has possessed so many are incredible forces that really could care less for someone who does care and this spawns hate of all kinds weakens creativity and in fact is not Christ like yet is practiced by religion…. Irony no it is how politics ran the whole thing. So mate what is of Truth is what it is and there simply is not even one way we can even begin to understand if all of us do not begin LISTENING that is the problem so many love to be a chief when in fact we all are yet sometimes one will be like and inde and then follow another gaining knowledge and wisdom. i am a full bled Christian, not a perfect one, but it’s the thought that counts..? and those Christians that you speak of are not true to themselves. if i was in there shoes i would’ve told sure you can pray to satan for me, tell him how much i dislike him while you’re at it. and even if you would’ve refused my prayers for you i would’ve done it anyways. now you’re got a real Christians reply. by the way i belong to no church or separate Christian group. i am a Christian and that’s where it starts and ends. i believe in god but i do not believe in religion. i believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and was born again.
Religion has just one good side in my opinion… when something really bad happens and you have a hard time trying to hang in there, it could help you to stay strong

Honestly, i understand your point, that you want to know, but… why should you want to? Leave them be, they don’t care about your opinions (i do mean those who force it on you and only want your respect for them but not the other way around). BTW O.o if they want to pray for you… they can do that anywhere and anytime at all , right? I mean … they do keep telling everyone about how there god is everywhere and ‘always’ listening… so why do they even bother asking ^^ i think that would have been a better question then ‘why’…

It annoys me when these kooky xians bug me about their religion, always talking about their god and how great ‘he’ is. i go to rehab and every day i’m bombarded with all that crap. but if i bring up my personal beleifs in the group, oh, i get knocked down right quick! so when they tell me about ‘god’ i ask ‘which one? there’s like 8 million’ i get plenty of flak. but if folks did their research, they realise how convulted it is. and besides, there’s more than 1 religion (but even those damn kooky xians can’t get along, they got plenty of splinter groups!).
one thing i really don’t get is that they always putting their problems in their gods hands and sitting on their butts doing absolutely nothing. my dad always said the gods will help if you make an effort to try. so they should get out there and try!
i tell folks if your god don’t answer, find another god. i stand by my personal system cos it works for me. but i don’t go around yakking about it, cos it’s PERSONAL. i told them if their god is so great, why should i still be waiting for results?? i got faster results praying to buddha and lord krishna than the xian god. hrm, which should i stick with, a god that’s insanely jealous and gets his rocks off punishing folks, or one that wants people to not suffer and be actually happy in their life? you think xians like to get off always having crappy lives and have the nerve to complain about it.

I did enjoy your little point despite the fact im a little bit catholic. I feel your pain, for i too cannot accept the fact that everybody expects you to worship God in any sort of way even if it means by force which i hate the most. And to be perfectly honest i find things like your stunts to be the most awesome i have ever seen and i will never ever go all pious and stupid on you (that is if we ever meet) and i wont criticize you in any way. By the way, i love what you’ve said to those prejudice Christians, i should try that in the future.

One of the biggest novelties I find consistently is these religion debates is that everyone assumes monotheism is correct.
The best ‘solution’ to religion is simply accepting two facts-
1. Due to the nature of religion, there is no single religion that can be definitively proved true, and therefore all religions have an equal chance at being correct.
2. You have chosen your own ‘religion’ (which includes atheism and non-religous) because it is what YOU have decided is most likely to be correct, not what actually IS correct.
Those two statements both make for a resounding punch in the face to religous fanatics trying to convert you, and create a simple, clean understanding of beliefs.
As an Atheist, I too get this quite frequently from religious people, and particularly xians. Recently I was diagnosed with cancer (I’m 24 years old) and 9 times out of ten they respond with “I’m so sorry, let me pray for you.” I tell them “No.” An argument always ensues about how it is insulting to me as an Atheist that they would pray for me. “It couldn’t hurt,” they say. “It won’t fucking help,” I retort. The reason it insults me is that it’s a denial of who I am and it is NOT done out of compassion or concern for ME, but rather out of a selfish need to feel as if THEY are being helpful. They aren’t. Praying didn’t cure polio, science did. Likewise, praying doesn’t help me when I go to get my throat cut open on the operating table or when I am having to take radioactive iodine tablets. So when I hear somebody tell me that they will be praying for me (rather then punch them in the mouth as I might like to do) I tell them to instead write me a poem, sing me a song, or tell me a joke. Because after all, two hands working does infinitely more than 1,000 hands clasped in prayer.

I am with you Morgue, I do not understand the meaning behind their motives or what the accomplishments they are trying to achieve. Because I live in Idaho, the Mormons continually ask me if I believe in GOD, in which case I tell them I believe there is a higher being of course, but to call him GOD and dedicate all my time is not something I choose to do, at any rate, I politely tell them I am not interested and ask them to not come to my home again. To make this short, I do not see why any religion is trying to convert or bring others into their fold. I think it is because they are trying to win their way into heaven or where ever they believe they are trying to go to. To me it is senseless and pointless. Okay heres the thing i dont have a religion but i believe in God but i dont like when people say you have to believe a certain thing. i have friends who are athiest, satanists, christians, catholics everything but i dont try to make them see things my way. i see your point about not wanting them to pray for you, you have the right to say no.
In todays society Christy, belief is all anyone has anymore. It is let us say a way for them to escape the horrors and misery in their lives. It has been a practice since the beginning of time for man to believe in something.

God is NOT relevant, because some of us believe GOD is the supreme energy that gave us a spirit- a body is nothing without spirit, but just mass. The spirit comes from God, and since none of us have the correct philosophy or intelligence, or clue what God is, we leave it alone! Go outside and take a deep breath, that’s God according to some- who is who to say that’s wrong? No one has the right answer, because none of us are worthy enough to describe God!
Your spirituality is something for YOU and ONLY YOU to have, so why speak of it. God is an EXPERIENCE that ONLY YOU CAN EXPERIENCE.
Not all Christians are hypocrites. I am a Christian myself, and I can’t stand the ones who are hypocrites. I personally have this need to talk about God all the time, He is just number one in my life and I just can’t help it, He is who I want to talk about. I know a lot of people who are Atheists, and cannot stand it when I talk about God. They like to talk about drugs, and sex, and all these other things that go against my beliefs and what I like to hear. They talk about it all the time, but the very second I began to bring up God, they all tried to shut me up because they did not like to hear it. I find it very hypocritical that they expect me to tolerate them talking about things they like, that I don’t, but they do not think they need also to be tolerant of what I like. I pray to God for people sometimes and people don’t like it, but the next day they will admit to me that they had a better day after I prayed. And if they have some other god than mine for me, I’d let them out of respect of their beliefs, but I will still talk to them about God.
I see what you’re saying, but perhaps imposing your beliefs on others makes them uncomfortable. I’m not Christian and I feel uncomfortable when people try to talk to me about their god, and so I’ll only talk about mine when asked instead of talking about it to everyone.
You didn’t offend me, I’m not easily offended. That being said how can you become uncomfortable with conversations that deal directly with society and impact all of man kind when you feel it is in direct violation of your faith? If anything you should welcome conversations as those because they solidify your beliefs and encourage you to make a difference while being an active participant in life. My issue with religion is the very fact that most of those who adhere to one become incapable of appreciating all they have without justifying it through their faith, they demand their God guide them and seldom have any self reliance or inner strength to persevere without their faith and when things don’t go as they hoped, they blame an adversary, claim it’s a test or some other nonsensical related thing, instead of realizing they are solely responsible for EVERYTHING in their lives regardless if it’s negative or positive. The worlds issues aren’t going to magically go away through prayer and unless you are actively involved trying to find a solution you become part of the problem. I don’t like to hear or see things that are detrimental to society and could influence my children to become unbalanced deviants either, but ignoring the issues aren’t going to make them disappear. By the way I detest the word tolerance, it simply invokes an attitude of apathy, while implying your beliefs are acceptable as long as they aren’t objected to or everyone else agrees with them. And Catholicism was the very first Christian church when Christianity became law in 354 A.D every other denomination stemmed from the Catholics so claiming they aren’t Christian isn’t exactly true, they just follow a different tenant then you, kind of like those Atheists you referred to. We’re all human, some of us just tend to embrace our humanity a little bit more than others and aren’t as concerned with what happens when we die as we are here and now. xD
Unfortunately it’s all part of the doctrine of Christianity. I couldn’t comprehend it when I was a Roman Catholic nor can I now, I just know that’s it’s quite entertaining when religious people come to my door and ask about my salvation and I can use their own scriptures to provoke them to think. (If that’s even possible.) The arrogance that somehow they are exempt from their own hypocrisy and superior to the rest of man kind simply because they have faith, is beyond my grasp. If any of them actually behaved even a fraction as their supposed savior had, I suspect their religion would have fallen apart long ago.
Real Christians will be Christ-like. The others will try to do it on their own instead of following Christ and the Word. The Catholics are part of the Christian sect, but do not think they are. I personally think the Catholics are nuts in their beliefs, because it is all truly just about money and the church, not really about God. I’m more into faith than religion. I don’t believe in being “religious”, but rather a being of faith. It’s difficult for people sometimes to have faith, but it’s just to me at least, God challenging us to keep faith in Him to keep us strong. But the Catholic church doesn’t do that, it’s all about money.
As Christians we are NOT to judge non-Christians. We can judge each other’s actions, but that is to tell each other what we are doing wrong and help each other become better Christians for Christ.
If this offended you, I’m sorry. But I was just trying to clarify me, as ONE Christian’s view.
