I remember a vague depiction in my mind of this as a child, it fascinated me in a strange way and it seems like this scene has always been in my subconcious effecting all I do and think. It brings back so many memories, thanks for bringing this up.
I can see why Satan killed Gumby and his friends, but poor Pokey and the rest of the clay animals.
Very good view on society. Loved it. Why bother saving lives when the lives are just going to be reborn again? Why bother when there’s always going to be more people born to this currupt world?
i’ve see this on YouTube couple of times. and i gotta be honest eventhough it might be against my religion but Satan has a good point when it comes to greedy people. and it does kinda creep me out a little bit. but he was also right about life being an illusion eventhough its all so real, this kinda thing sometimes get me confused but im not complaining.

I saw this for the first time on YouTube a few years ago. When I read the description I have to admit that I expected little more than shock value, but as it turns out this scene was very thought provoking. Very inspired, even though I hate that fucking word.

Mark Twain was a genius, and I love The Adventures of Mark Twain movie as well. The Mysterious Stranger is an incredible story, and I believe the last that Twain wrote before his death. I would highly recommend reading it to anyone who hasn’t.

Ah I love this movie! I have it on me actually. I thought it was stupid of them to ban it, as it only draws more attention. Besides, Satan has a good point. And if you read the books by Mark Twain you will see that Satan is not the Devil here, but the son of the devil, being a much more questionable Angel, with no concept of right and wrong, good or evil. He is like a child with a world he has made of toys, just as God is. ^_^
