Damn work was hell today. Seems like life in itself is a fucking battle

    • Yes indeed it is. You will win… or you will lose. It is only up to you. Work has been Hell on me lately as well… working so much OT. :/

      • Right? It’s hardly worth the OT though, the way things are going

        • Yeah… I work in a very busy medical suite and I just feel like I am being run into the ground. Every day we see more and more patients. There just isn’t enough time in the day to keep seeing more and more people! My entire body hurts.

          • I hear you, I’m a driver for fedex, one of the best in my area. It’s supposed to be the slow season right now and I’m still running 70+ hours a week. I hardly have time to deal with anything else in life, just work, work, & more work. Just gotta keep your head up high and bulldoze through it.

            • Yeah ya’ll fedex drivers work long hours I hear. It is a demanding job! I will never send anything by U.S. mail ever again. I had a couple bad experiences with that. Ever since I started using fedex I have had no problems.

We just upgraded our EMR to a more detailed version, AllScripts Touchworks V11.2. My bosses made me one of the super-users so when our go-live date came everyone needed me all the time… and people still call my name and I gotta go running to help them send in an e-script or chart documentation of infusions or immunizations or whatever they need. Plus I gotta do my own daily routine on top of that. 4 days out of the week I room patients for 2 physicians at once and on Wednesdays I get to work in Endoscopy. I love it there… but another demanding job! It takes a lot out of me by the end of the week. Whew!

              • So you’re pretty much running tech support for the whole department in addition to a hella busy day?

Yeah, fedex is a good company. For the most part we’re pretty much on top of stuff, accidents/injuries are low, and most of our crew here is dropping 200+ packages a day. The other contractors at our terminal average around 120 a day, so my boss is trying to run 9 routes on us 6 drivers, which makes a 10-hour workday jump to 12-14 hours. The other day we had a driver get stuck for 4 hours so we all pitched in and grabbed packages from him. Made for a nice 16 hour day. I generally have to run bulk on saturdays, which is 2 hours each way if traffic is good. Shit’s crazy.
